On Thursday evening, the Kansas City Modern Quilt Guild had its November meeting. The focus? The Habitat Challenge Reveal!

Overview of Challenge

Each member that wanted to participate received a bundle of 8 fat eighths of Jay McCarroll’s Habitat fabric in the earth colorway. A quilt was to be made using these fabrics. More habitat fabric (in any colorway) could be added, or solids, but no other prints.

Over half our guild participated! Here are group pictures of the quilts we had to show:

Our guild also voted for a Viewer’s Choice winner of the night. Our winner was Tracy Lewien who produced this gorgeous quilt:

Each quilt was photographed and can be seen on the KCMQG Flickr stream.
