We are sharing a couple of quilts today as part of the 100 Quilts for Kids blog hop hosted by Heather of Quilts In the Queue.

100 Quilts for Kids is an awesome and easy way to support your community, specifically children in your community. All you have to do is make a quilt and donate it to a local child or teenager.

The KCMQG is partnered with Birthday Blessings KC and donates quilts to children in the KC metro on their first birthday. Here are a couple of quilts that we have donated.

KCMQG members contributed blocks for these two quilts and worked together to quilt and bind them. The left one was made using blue and orange square in a square blocks from a tutorial by crazy mom quilts. Since many members had fabrics left over from QuiltCon challenges, the right one has QuiltCon colors in wonky log cabin blocks from a tutorial by Ellison Lane

If you have a completed quilt and want to donate it to Birthday Blessings (or a child/teen in your area), make sure you also participate in the 100 Quilts for Kids Link Up Party. It’s open through September 30th and there are some awesome prizes available.
