We are always excited when we get to enjoy hearing from our very own members. In July we will welcome Mary Thomas. Mary has been a quilter since 1985. Mostly self-taught, she increased her skills in quilting classes, expos and quilt shows. She has tried a large number of techniques and quilt styles from Applique to Watercolor (and most of the alphabet in between.) Mary’s trunk show will include quilts from all the varied techniques and styles that she has worked in. She says that she was making “…improv before I knew what improv was.” Mary has exhibited in local quilt shows and the Missouri State Fair, receiving various ribbons. One of Mary’s quilts hangs in the Missouri Quilt Museum in Hamilton, Missouri.
Mary believes that most quilts tell a story, and she is eager to share with you some of her many Quilt Stories! She plans to inspire you to your next story with over 50 quilts for you to see. Please join us in July!
