I was very fortunate to receive a beautiful "unfinished-orphaned" quilt top. The finished top was a foundation-pieced 48" x 24" table runner pattern, "Crossing Paths", designed by Mary Reed for the Kansas City Modern Quilt Guild. I was captured by the fabric colors and the geometric shapes the quilt pieces created. Although I don't know the original quilter of this piece, I would like to commend their foundation-piecing of this table top.
In order to embellish the overall 48" x 24" shape, I added the batting and backing and quilted the sandwich. The bright complementary colors I selected for the binding and the accent give the piece very strong edges.
