SUMMARY:August 2022 Workshop: Sheila Frampton Cooper
DESCRIPTION:This is a very special workshop conducted by Sheila Frampton Cooper herself.  It is a two day workshop for 20 very lucky students! \nIn this workshop\, students will draw a design\, create a full-scale pattern on freezer paper\, and assemble the forms by Appli-piecing\, which is part appliqué and part piecing. Sheila will guide students in composing a simple or complex design\, and encourage that the process is undertaken with openness and ease. Students will play with shape\, scale and movement. We will also discuss creating a value study\, and then choosing your palette. Students will be provided with small compositions to assemble and become comfortable with the technique before they start designing. \nFee:  The two day workshop fee for each student is $150.00/per person.  Please note\, a one day workshop with Sheila at Stitchin’ Post in Sisters\, Oregon this year is $360.  We are happy to offer this two day class at such a reduced cost to our members. \nAugust 12-13\, 2022 \nMaximum Students:  20 \nLocation:  Fabric Chic in Parkville\, Missouri \nClass hours will be announced in July Newsletter. \nRegistration opens June 18th at 9am.
