DESCRIPTION:This retreat is at Sew Sweet in Brunswick\, MO \nThursday\, June 18-Sunday\, June 21\n$315 per person which includes lodging and most meals\nMaximum of 22 participants \nMark your calendars! This year’s guild retreat is going to be one for the books! We’re heading into the summer solstice weekend with a theme that’s as big as the night sky: Celestial Stitches. \nTHURSDAY\, JUNE 18 — Arrival & the Draw\nCheck in\, get settled\, and get excited! Our first order of business will be to draw your mystery block pattern to make for our special group project. We’ll be providing a Celestial Color Way to inspire you to dig through your stash and use up your fat quarters for a good cause. \nFRIDAY\, JUNE 19 — Pour Decisions Under the Stars\nIn honor of the summer solstice — the longest day and shortest night of the year — we’re taking the evening outside. Grab your glass and your blanket for a night of stargazing\, good wine\, and great company under the Missouri sky. Brunswick’s dark skies are made for this. I’ll share some celestial knowledge and fun stories about the sky. Plan to stay up a little later than usual. \nSATURDAY\, JUNE 20 — Last Star Standing & the Charity Quilt Reveal\nThink you have what it takes to outlast the group? The Last Star Standing challenge is on — a lighthearted\, completely optional late-night endurance contest to see who can keep their eyes open the longest. Check-ins throughout the night\, bragging rights forever\, and a special prize for the winner. \nBy day\, we’ll be bringing our blocks together for a very special group project — a charity quilt made from every attendee’s star block. Start thinking about your solstice survival strategy — and maybe take a nap in advance.
