DESCRIPTION:Join us on November 13\, 2025 for our guest speaker Crystal Manning! \nCrystal is a Kansas City fabric and quilt artist who will share a trunk show of her latest and favorite quilts. \nAfter spending a decade as a graphic designer\, Crystal turned her artistic talents toward surface and textile pattern design. In 2015\, she bought her first sewing machine and began teaching herself to sew\, using her custom-printed Spoonflower fabrics. Though she endured the occasional pinprick and became well-acquainted with her seam ripper\, her passion for sewing and fabric design flourished. \nSince 2017\, Crystal has been designing fabric for Moda Fabrics\, inspiring sewists to create with her stylish collections. She also designs quilt patterns to complement her fabric lines.

Grab your glass and your blanket for a night of stargazing\, good wine\, and great company under the Missouri sky. Brunswick’s dark skies are made for this. I’ll share some celestial knowledge and fun stories about the sky. Plan to stay up a little later than usual. \nSATURDAY\, JUNE 20 — Last Star Standing & the Charity Quilt Reveal\nThink you have what it takes to outlast the group? The Last Star Standing challenge is on — a lighthearted\, completely optional late-night endurance contest to see who can keep their eyes open the longest. Check-ins throughout the night\, bragging rights forever\, and a special prize for the winner. \nBy day\, we’ll be bringing our blocks together for a very special group project — a charity quilt made from every attendee’s star block. Start thinking about your solstice survival strategy — and maybe take a nap in advance.
