This month we are launching our Design a Quilt Series, where we will look at the building blocks of design to give you the confidence to step away from the pattern. Every design starts with inspiration, and in this meeting we will look at what’s trending in quilting design, particularly at QuiltCon.

We are thrilled to welcome Valerie Goodwin to our guild! She will share how she approaches composition in creating a commissioned art quilt. The lecture will provide food for thought in terms of how different design disciplines can be combined to create unique ways of thinking about design.
