Sew a Little Love: Join Our Pillowcase Drive for Cornerstones of Care

Our guild has a heartfelt community service project goal this year—100 pillowcases to comfort children supported by Cornerstones of Care, an organization that helps kids navigating the foster care system. You can help us reach it, one yard at a time.

Whether you stitch solo or gather with a sewing buddy, we invite you to create pillowcases that bring smiles. Use 100% cotton fabric in fun, bright, or cozy prints—anything you’d want to curl up with. Not sure where to start? Try the popular burrito-style pillowcase tutorial from Craftsy: https://www.craftsy.com/post/burrito-pillowcase

Fabric requirements per pillowcase:

¾ yard for the main body

¼ yard for the cuff

2” x WOF strip for a pop of accent color

Bring your creativity and your fabric stash! We’ll have a fabric sharing and swapping table at the August meeting, so come ready to mix, match, and discover the perfect fabric hiding in someone else’s collection.

Finished pillowcases are due at the October meeting. To thank you for your generosity, you’ll receive one prize drawing ticket for each pillowcase you donate—so the more you make, the better your chances to win!

Let’s stitch together a little love and brighten the lives of children who need it most!
