Join us for a two-day workshop with the amazing Veruschka Zarate as we create her Heartland Capturing Memories project. In this class with Veruschka you will navigate the foundation paper piecing process working with a variety of techniques to accomplish this pattern. She will guide you through the small, medium and large piecing techniques that will make bringing this project together fun and fabulous. Spending two days getting to know this world-wide quilting artist will be an amazing opportunity you won’t want to miss! We know it will be a great way to extend your skills and you will enjoy learning her techniques. Geared toward those who are new to Foundation Paper Piecing or for those who are wanting a visually impactful yet quick quilt project that can be completed in a couple of days, this Quilt Series seeks to capture the heart and spirit of destinations from around the world through the use of modern and clean lines. The inspiration behind this quilt series was born out of a desire to design custom patterns for some locations where Veruschka would be teaching Foundation Paper Piecing. The first in the series was debuted for her first class in Phoenix, Arizona for the Modern Quilt Guild’s QUILTCON in 2022. Since then, the Series has built up to a total of 9 Patterns that will continue to be released throughout 2024 and 2025.
HEARTLAND is in the Capturing Memories Pattern Series of diverse landscapes that share the common thread of being set within the polaroid framework. This quilt block finishes at 27×27 inches square.
The PDF pattern will be $20 (included in price of kit if you choose to purchase it)
The Kit includes a Project bag, Moda Bella Solids Fabric bundle, Full Color Pattern, Stickers, Wonderfil thread pack and some other little goodies. Kit cost: $98 *20 people need to commit to purchasing the kit for Veruschka to bring them. Purchasing the kit means you get to show up to class fully ready to sew with minimal prep and angst! YAY!
