We’re Making a Modern Medallion!
The Modern Quilt Guild has announced the Community Outreach Quilt Challenge for QuiltCon 2026, and we’re excited to share that KCMQG will be participating! The theme is “Medallion,” and we’ll be creating a version of the Modern Medallion quilt by Beyond the Reef.
At our June meeting, we voted on which color palette supplied by MQG we should use, and Brights won by a landslide!
Now that we have our quilt pattern and palette, we need your engagement and support. The Community Outreach quilt is a fun and meaningful way to get involved with KCMQG and a great chance to meet other members, learn new skills, and contribute to a quilt that will represent us on the national stage.
We’re looking for volunteers to join Anne Lacey, Lisa Hirsch, and Kelly Hubka in making the magic happen. You can find the sign up link in your June 2025 Newsletter.
