If you’ve got a head for physics (or perhaps even if you don’t) this baby quilt is for you! While we don’t all know logarithmic scales, we find Josée’s description of how she calculated the color blocks for this quilt simply fascinating. Inspiration from engineering!

Joseé, from The Charming Needle, made this quilt for Issue 14 of Fat Quarterly. She used Kona cotton solids and did three rows of different widths from darker to lighter and going long to short.
When she got to the quilting part of it, she spaced her straight line quilting using a logarithmic grid too!
