Here’s what our members have going on around Kansas City in November and December!

Shea Henderson is having an event for her book School of Sewing on Sunday, November 16th from 2 – 4 pm at the Woodneath Library Center.

Tia Curtis is teaching a Quilted Zipper Pouch class at Meadows Quilt Shop in Leavenworth, KS, on Thursday, November 13th from 10 am to 2:30 pm. More information about the class can be found on her blog Tia Curtis Quilts.

If you are not able to make the book signing event at the KCMQG December meeting and would like to support a local shop while buying a book, Alex Ledgerwood  of Teaginny Designs is having a book signing at Modern Makers on Saturday, December 6th, beginning at 11 am.

Purchase a copy of the new release, Improvising Tradition, and have it signed by the author. Alex will have projects from the book on hand, as well as step outs to explain some of the exciting improvisational techniques featured in it.

Are you a guy that wants to learn how to sew? Or are you already a seasoned sewist and want to hang out with other men who sew? If so, Man-Made Sewing is perfect for you! Bring a project to work on or there’s a series of beginner projects taught by Lesley Latham.
